Have you signed up for the new American Airlines credit cards from Citibank with the 75,000 or 100,000 miles sign-up bonus?

The clock’s ticking.  The offers run through October 31st.

Gary from View from the Wing ranks these bonuses as the best credit card offers ever made.  Those are hella strong words.

I finally got Tony on board. I did promise to manage the accounts for him to make the idea of having two more cards less stressful. ;) That’s what Yodlee is for!! <3

Unlike me, Tony was INSTANTLY APPROVED for both the personal Visa and American Express. Online. No annoying phone calls. It literally took 5 minutes to fill out both applications. I can’t believe how ridiculously easy that was. It was MUCH harder getting him to agree to it. :)

So, if you’re like him, and you don’t have a bunch of Citi Cards already, and you have good credit, then it may be as simple as filling out an online application and getting instant approval.  But even if you have to call in for further processing — trust me, it’s worth it.

Now he just has to spend $1500 on both cards in 6 months – and he’ll be 153,000 AA miles richer!  Then we can go on an awesome trip together! (like our Italy trip next year.)  We didn’t want to hassle with another $10K to spend within the year, so we stuck with the 75K offers for him.

I’ve already met the $750 spend on my Visa (with the 100K bonus), so I’m expecting my first 50,000 miles to post on my next statement.

Way to go Tony! Katie (Mom) just signed both of us up for the same thing. Of course, they will need to do a pretty thorough credit check on me! Ha!

I’m really thinking about doing this same deal for me and my husband (the 75K offers). I tried looking for it, but I can’t find the information for what the 150000 miles will get us. Is there a website I can go to see how many miles certain flights cost? We are wanting to do a vacation next year to costa rice or somewhere. Thanks!

Hi Amanda! I touch a bit on what the miles will get you in my first post on the offer. You can see the AA mileage redemption chart here. It looks like if you pick your dates right you can fly to SJO (San Jose, Costa Rica) on MileSAAver off-peak rewards for 30,000 miles each. Happy Travels!
