Great news guys!!

A couple of weeks ago, I posted about an amazing sign-up offer for the Starwood American Express credit card (my all-time favorite credit card). Originally the link was only good for about a week, but it must have been pretty popular because the offer has now been extended through July 31st.

You get 30,000 Starwood points just for spending $1,000 within three months. See my previous post for details on how lucrative of an offer this is. When Tony and I first signed up for the personal card, you had to spend $15K within 6 months to get 25,000 points, so this is much better!

You can find the personal card offer here and the business card offer here.

The Frugal Travel Guy has posted confirmation that you can sign up for both the business and personal card, and receive the 30K bonus for both. After my success with the personal card, I think I’m going to sign up Tony and I for the business card before the end of the month. Another 60K starwood points is enough for two round-trip domestic flights, plus at least two free hotel nights. That’s worth a ~3 point dip in credit score to me!

Remember, guys and gals, your credit score is one of your most valuable assets.  If you use your credit wisely (paying off balances in full each month, never paying late, maintaining a low utilization ratio, etc), you can pounce on really good deals like this one.  I have many credit cards in my arsenal, and my last pull (6/10/10) still showed my credit score in the upper percentile (all three scores were >760).
