Sadly, Microsoft is discontinuing the Bing cashback program as of July 30th, 2010.

Microsoft will continue running the cashback program until 9:00 p.m. PT on July 30 and will continue to offer cashback offers until that time. After that, Microsoft is giving customers a year to redeem any credits they’ve accumulated via cashback. Microsoft also will provide 12 months of customer support for the service, according to the official blog post.

What does this mean for us?

Well, it totally changes my eBay shopping strategy.

The days of  getting DOUBLE cashback through Mr. Rebates and Bing will be gone forever.  :(

After July 30th, you will no longer be able to get 8% Bing cashback on eBay purchases. But you can still get 3% cashback by shopping through Mr. Rebates (plus $5 sign-up bonus).

If you plan on making any big eBay purchases, you might want to do them before the end of the month, while you can still get 8% + 3%  cashback on them!
