I just now figured out that the Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb, lives in Phoenix. D’oh! She’s sort of my cleaning IDOL. I’ve reached for her book "How the Queen Cleans Everything" more often than any other book on my shelf. She taught me all about the amazing powers of hydrogen peroxide, and I’ve gotten stains out of expensive clothing that I never would have dreamed would come out thanks to her.

I also read in her book: "After more testing than you can imagine, I have picked one detergent that I believe to be all things to all people: PUREX." (You can go here to read the excerpt). I’m mildly suspicious of this endorsement, since Dial Corporation makes Purex, Zout, and Borax…and they all carry her seal of approval. Could it be that Dial, a local Phoenix company, has paid the Queen of Clean to endorse their products? Or is Purex really all that she makes it out to be? I read online that she’s tested it with the Phoenix hard water, and it seems to work best at keeping your whites white. So we’ll see, I’m about to start using my free stash of Purex. Maybe it will keep those gross orange-ish stains out of my clothes. Stupid hard water. I am so getting a water softener when I get my own house. I hate to think what it’s doing to my hair.

If you too live in Phoenix and would like to meet the Queen of Clean AND vie for your chance for YOUR VERY OWN water softener….then you’re in luck. The Queen of Clean will be appearing at the Maricopa Home and Landscape Show on May 2nd and 3rd. Here are the deets:

MAY 2nd and 3rd
I’ll be speaking on the Main Stage in the Plaza Building
at 1 PM.
I’ll be teaching you to make your own green cleaning products from inexpensive things you probably already have in your pantry. I’ll take your questions and give away lots of free cleaning products and a Kinetico Whole House Water Filtration System!
Don’t Miss It…..This is the Big One!

Queen of Clean Reco of Purex Detergent

I don’t believe that the Queen of Clean is currently in a paid spokesperson relationship with Dial (ended a few years back & her image removed from the packaging.) I am pretty sure that she even endorsed 20 Mule Team Borax and Zout prior to her relationship with Dial. Given her reputation, I wouldn’t think she would even consider endorsing something she didn’t believe in.

I have to agree with you here. She definitely is a woman who stands by her products…and what she endorses actually works, in my limited experience so far. And did I mention she’s my cleaning hero?

    hehe. Thanks for stopping by!
