I Came Out of Hiding

There’s nothing like free laundry detergent to drag a girl out of hiding.

I made a trip to CVS for the first time in MONTHS today for – you guessed it – free detergent. I finally ran out of my stockpile of All Free & Clear and had resorted to PAYING FULL PRICE for my last few bottles. Oh my. Can we say desperate? More like preoccupied. With life. And a new boyfriend. (Totally worth it, mind you!)

I have been a bad CVS/Walgreens shopper. I haven’t even couponed in months. Luckily I had a stockpile to get me through the drought for most health & beauty items. I absolutely LOVE that I didn’t need to step foot in a single CVS or Walgreens this entire time, and I pretty much had all the essentials. I guess that’s what stockpiling is for, eh? But the stockpile is running low… And I’m starting to feel the itch again ;) As soon as school is done and over, I can get back to stocking up on free things again!

So here is the scoop on how to score free Purex laundry detergent:

Purex is on sale this week at CVS buy-one-get-one-free. Take this buy-one-get-one-free printable coupon to CVS to get both bottles of laundry detergent for free. You’ll have to enter your zip code – and since it’s a regional coupon it might not show up for you. I used the zip code 44514 and it worked. You can print two coupons per computer (that’s four free bottles). Also, as you can see I even scored a bottle with 20% bonus (38 loads as opposed to 32). So be on the lookout for those!

The other items in the picture were also free. The Sobe life water is on sale BOGO, and there are BOGO coupons here. The Softsoap (something else I’m running low on) is on sale for $4.99 and free after ECB. In the end, I paid $1.59 for tax.

Not bad for 15 mins. At $6.99 a pop, that’s $28 worth of detergent for free. Too bad CVS doesn’t stock Purex Free and Clear :(
