It’s about time I updated some of my holiday music. I pretty much haven’t downloaded any new Christmas mp3s since my freshman year of college when Napster was around (ahem, that was 1999. I just dated myself by mentioning Napster, haha). Luckily I went hog wild, and downloaded over 200 songs…and since most of them are classics, they will never get outdated!

Amazon.com is having a “25 Days of Free” promotion and is unveiling a new holiday song everyday through December 25.

Bacardi is also giving away some free holiday music.

Free iTunes store downloads (available for one week only) can be found here. The holiday songs currently available to download are Melissa Etheridge’s "Christmas in America" and The Boxmasters’ "Slower Than Christmas" (Apparently Billy Bob Thornton sings!)

Schick is giving away a free mp3. Click "Enter download code" on the top right and enter code: SCHICKROCKS08. Not all the songs are holiday – but you can select a holiday song if you wish. I was pleasantly surprised by Robert Downey, Jr’s rendition of "River" off the Ally McBeal Christmas album.

Sears and Trisha Yearwood have partnered to sponsor a free mp3 download of “My Favorite Things” (a new recording of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic). A song from Brooks’ favorite movie on her birthday! Isn’t that spiffy!

If only I could listen to Christmas songs while watching my lectures :-/

Hehehe, I do love holiday music!! I’d say about 80% of my iTunes library is all holiday music. Possibly more.

You know, that sounds very very tempting….I don’t have plans yet either.
