I just spent an hour doing what is probably my LEAST FAVORITE chore on earth. That would be trimming the fat off chicken breasts. The thing is, it doesn’t really bother me when I have to do one or two at a time for a single meal.  But that rarely happens. Nope. Chicken breasts are one of those things that I stock up, and I mean REALLY STOCK UP when they reach my price point. Last week, Foster Farms chicken breasts were on sale for $1.77/lb at Fry’s. They are normally $4.99/lb. So I bought 8 packages (3 breasts to a package). Which means they all have to be trimmed, and separated into individual freezer bags so that they are ready to thaw and eat.  It’s really such a tedious job. Was it worth the $40-50 that it saved me to buy them in bulk at such a low price? You bet it was.
