I’ve been back in AZ a couple of days, but have spent most of my time trying to catch up on rest and get back into the swing of things at work. I’ll post some pictures from my trip later when I get around to downloading them. Thanks to my grandparents for picking me up and dropping me off and keeping me very well fed, LOL — I could probably go without eating for an entire week and still not feel hungry.

My birthday was very interesting. The actual day I had to work, so I spent it with a bunch of strangers  — interns from all over (New Mexico,Santa Clara, Fulsom, Hillsboro) who had come together for a face to face. My manager let it leak that it was my birthday, so everyone decided to sing Happy Birthday to me.

It’s very interesting when a room full of strangers sings Happy Birthday to you. Especially when they get to your name, and since the majority of them have no clue what your name is it becomes all muffled “Happy Birthday dear mmmmmaarrrrgratbbb, Happy Birthday to you!”

Apparently I also look (or act) much younger than I am, because everyone thought I was turning 21-22. Wow. I feel decades older than that.

I missed my free birthday meal at Joe’s BBQ though. I know I can go whenever I want, but somehow an entirely free meal always tastes better! Now I have to wait an entire year!

Come to think of it, I didn’t get my free Hollywood Video rental either. Darn!

Here’s my most updated list of Birthday Freebies in Phoenix — if anyone has any to add to the list, let me know.
