Quarterlife Crisis

Betcha never heard of the “quarterlife crisis” before, did ya? Well, apparently there’s a book, and now this incredibly addicting internet series (soon to be a TV series on NBC) about a bunch of twentysomethings going through their respective angsty quarterlife meltdowns. The series was created by the same producers as “My-So Called Life,” which was another favorite show of mine back in the day.

Watch a couple episodes (I’ll warn you though. Once you start, you may not be able to stop!) if you want to be reassured that you’re “normal” or if you want a peek into what it’s like being twentysomething these days.

I think this article about the fear of failure, written by the author of Conquering Your Quarterlife Crisis, is pretty spot on. It’s nice to know I’m not the only person out there “trudging through my attempts to self-sabotage.” It seems the fear of failure is plaguing our generation. I know I’ve spent a good number of years trying to de-brainwash myself of this super limited definition of success that I’ve somehow let myself get attached to.

And dang you Gopi for getting me addicted to this show!!
