Merry Christmas Dahlings

Just wanted to wish all my loved ones a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Splendid New Year!! That should just about cover everyone ;)

I was going to put up a picture of my adorable Christmas tree with the beautiful presents I took earlier in the week…but alas, I must have deleted it off my camera before downloading it. So I’ve put up my three-minute artist’s rendition instead ;)

So far, I have been extremely blessed with gifts :) Mark gave me a new set of silverware, which is a wonderfully useful and very much needed gift. Among the highlights of the Chistmas Eve extravaganza at my grandparents’ place: a new gorgeous black Coach purse, two new beautiful eye shadows from Sephora that I’ve had my eye on (thanks to the mom/grandma duo, lol), a set of two Calphalon non-stick pans (which I desperately needed!), and a $50 gift card to Williams-Sonoma!! I did such a happy dance after opening that gift card, you have no ideeeeeea! I am going to be like a kid in a candy store trying to figure out what I want with that. (Thanks to my awesome aunt and uncle!!)

Mom loved her gift from Hannah and I — a new laser printer.  Now she won’t run out of ink every other week, and I won’t have to hear about it! Hallelujah! I personally LOVE my Samsung laser printer, and I’m sure she’ll be fond of hers in no time.

I was able to be very generous with my gift giving this year, which makes me SO happy. Even in the wake of my horrible roommate fiasco (for those that don’t know, Michael — aka The Bum said with all the anger one can muster — stiffed Mark and I $1100 in rent and utilities the last two months. Horrible horrible situation).  I acquired some pretty awesome gifts, if I do say so myself, that I never would have been able to afford with just cash out of pocket. Plus, with all my wheeling and dealing at Walgreens the past couple of weeks, I was able to buy some nice gift cards. I was even able to tip my hairdresser and aesthetician this year, something I always feel guilty about not doing (I gave them both $25 dining GCs which can be used at Olive Garden or Red Lobster and some chocolate candy). And I’m giving Eric (my mechanic/best friend) a $100 American Express gift card. I figure it’s the least I could do, since I owe him so much more for being such an awesome friend. I’m thinking of sending a small GC off to my newspaper guy too, since he left a Christmas Card with his address. He does bring me happiness every Sunday morning in the form of coupons :)
