Here are a couple lesser-known programs that allow you to trade in your UPCs for free coupons (which translate to free products!)

Fast Fixin’ Fanatics

Turn trash into cash (as good as cash, anyway). Clip the UPCs (the bar codes they scan at the supermarket) from Fast Fixin’ packages. For every 10 UPCs that you send us, we’ll mail you a free product coupon. Mail your UPCs to Fast Fixin’ Fanatics, P.O. Box 21804, Oklahoma City, OK 73156.

Crown Prince Frequent Buyer Program
Start the Crown Prince habit and save! Attach the bar code labels from five cans (any variety) of Crown Prince Seafood on a 3”x5” card.  Mail them along with your name and address, and we’ll send you five coupons, each good for 50cents off any Crown Prince item. You can send in as many UPC bar codes as you like, in sets of five. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can earn, so eat up! Mail to: Crown Prince, Inc., P.O. Box 3568, City of Industry, CA 91744.

Note: You can print out $0.35 coupons for any Crown Prince item at boodle.com. I’ve discovered that the Crown Prince Sardines, lightly smoked in oil, are regularly priced $0.99 at Albertsons. When they triple coupons, like they are now, you can stock up on free sardines using the $0.35 coupon. Save 5 UPCs and you can mail those in for five free $0.50 coupons, which will double to $1.00 at most of the grocery stores here.

You can also fill out a customer survey to receive a coupon for $1.00 off any Crown Prince product.

Crown Prince has definitely made a loyal customer out of me. Not only do I have a pantry full of sardines, but with the $0.50 coupons I’m almost guaranteed  to use Crown Prince products in my favorite recipes (i.e. minced clams in my quick & easy red clam sauce over spaghetti).
