We’ve been having record low temperatures the past few days here in Phoenix.  According to the National Weather Service, we set a record for the coldest consecutive mornings in Phoenix since 1978. Yesterday’s low of 29 degrees was the coldest temperature for that date since 1964.  Sunday’s high of 46 degrees broke the record for lowest maximum temperature for that date, ever. Wowsers! There was a family visiting from New Hampshire in my gym this morning, and they said the weather here in Phoenix is exactly the same as when they left – only two degrees different.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I came down with a cold (I’m guessing allergies) right around this onset of drastically cold weather. Needless to say, I’ve spent the majority of the last couple days bundled in bed, drinking lots of OJ and downing the cold medicine. Aside from a mild headache, I’d say I’m almost back to normal. I’ve got my appetite back, my sore throat and congestion is gone, my temperature seems to be stabilized, and I was able to run this morning on the treadmill. I almost passed out, and I could keep time with the pounding of my headache, but I was still able to run a brisk pace ;)
