Jet lag sucks

So I’ve been trying very unsuccessfully to get back on a normal sleeping schedule since I got back from PI. We arrived in Phx just past midnight last Thursday night/Friday morning. And despite staying awake for most of the ten hour flight (saw two decent movies…bad news bears with billy bob and a good woman with helen hunt), I was not tired in the slightest when I got to my house. So I stayed up cleaning and unpacking, fell asleep finally around 9 or 10, slept a couple hours, then woke up and spent the remainder of that day sorting gifts into piles. Holy cow, I can’t believe I lugged all that stuff back. Stupid America West and their “new policy”, only allowing 50 lbs weight constraint on international luggage. All I can say is that certain people better appreciate their dried mangoes :-P

This is how screwed up my schedule is — I opened Christmas gifts with my mom & grandma at 2 am Saturday morning! Ya, my family is kind of weird. Whose grandma is even up then? And then on Sunday (new years day), when DavidP. visited, we didnt go to sleep til 9 am. Yikes. And here I am off on another trip, when I still haven’t recovered from the first one! Check out my itinerary for San Francisco courtesy of my mom:

We are spending 1-3 thru 1-7 in San Fran. We are booked at the historic Fairmont Hotel, will be taking a seaplane tour of Alcatraz, Golden Gate, & such, a bay cruise & wax museum tour, dinner at Wolgang Puck’s Spago, tickets to aquarium of the bay, and we NOW have tickets to Cirque Du Soleil. COOL!

I echo my mom, COOL! Heh, other than a one-night stay for an engineering conference in undergrad, I haven’t been to SF for any extended period of time. And I definitely haven’t been sight seeing there. Which reminds me, I need to empty all my pictures off my camera so I’ll have room…doh.

enjoy SF…take lots of pics for sure. Maybe you should just get a job working nights then you wouldn’t have to worry about jetlag eh?

That does sound cool. And if I’m one of the people you’re referring to about the mangoes, well, you need not worry :)

Did not get around to the post office…so unless you plan on stopping in Chandler while I’m gone, you will have to wait on those mangoes. Sorry! But they’re every bit worth the wait!

No, I was not forgetting…but I’d rather not count that since I did not truly experience SF. Airports do not count. And neither do crappy hotels and Dennys in the middle of nowhere.

like what kind of job? heh, maybe at Sonny’s? I’m sure they’re not too selective, and its close to my house…

Figures I was in Chandler this morning and no one answered the door! So now I have to wait I guess. Sigh. *Patiently waiting*
