I’m a cookbook junkie

I’m a compulsive cookbook collector. It would take me many lifetimes to cook all the recipes in every cookbook I own. But that doesn’t stop me from adding to my collection. I get lost for hours online pouring over cookbook reviews. And Amazon’s free shipping over $25 policy only supports my habit…anytime I’m under $25, I think “Oh goody, I’ll just add a cookbook to my cart so I can get free shipping.” Today I actually sat down and created a list on Amazon of all my current cookbooks. So if you’re curious, you can check it out at:

That way there’s a written record of all the books I own (that Amazon sells anyway), which should prevent duplicates.

Also, I updated my wish list :) I think it’s pretty cool you can search for people’s wish lists if they make it available (just look up by first and last name, or email addy). Helps out if you’re completely clueless about a gift. For me, it helps me keep track of that item I wanted a couple months back but due to extreme memory paralysis can’t remember anymore.

My top five favorite cookbooks at the moment:

1. The Elephant Walk Cookbook : The Exciting World of Cambodian Cuisine from the Nationally Acclaimed Restaurant

2. Eating for IBS: 175 Delicious, Nutritious, Low-Fat, Low-Residue Recipes to Stabilize the Touchiest Tummy

3. How to Cook Everything: Simple Recipes for Great Food by Mark Bittman

4. The Best Recipe by Editors of Cook’s Illustrated Magazine

5. The Paleo Diet: Lose Weight and Get Healthy by Eating the Food You Were Designed to Eat
